baptism-ish

adj. Almost but not quite like the purifying and minty waters of cleansing and rebirth that wash away stuff, according to the Bible or something.

Real citation: "When he gives Jack the water it seemed very baptism-ish, too."
(Snarkella, "2-1: "Man of Science, Man of Faith" 2005.09.21," Sept. 21, 2005, Television Without Pity, http://forums.televisionwithoutpity.com/index.php?showtopic=3130801&view=findpost&p=3640980)

Made-up citation: "Golden showers can rarely be characterized as truly baptism-ish...unless the showerer were a bishop and the showeree were a heathen."
